Μπορεί να μην θυμίζει Χριστούγεννα, μπορεί ο ήλιος να επιμένει ακόμα και ας είναι τέλη Δεκεμβρίου, μπορεί οι εορτασμοί να είναι περιορισμένοι (έως ανύπαρκτοι), η Αθήνα όμως είναι όμορφη... αλήθεια! Μέσα σε όλα τα άσχημα που εύκολα εντοπίζουμε, υπάρχουν και αυτές οι γειτονιές, τα μικρά καφέ, οι μυρωδιές, οι φίλοι που κάθονται στον λόφο όπου έχουν καθήσει επί χιλιάδες χρόνια οι Αθηναίοι, ονειρευόμενοι μάλλον τα ίδια: μια καλύτερη ζωή.

It may not look like Christmas, the sun insists on shining despite the fact that it is late December, the celebrations are a few (if at all), but Athens is beautiful.... truly! Amidst all the ugly things that we easily spot, there are these neighborhoods, these cafes, the smells, the friends that sit on the hill that Athenians have been visiting for thousands of years, dreaming probably of the same thing: a better life.
